Also at the 2nd race of the DTM Trophy at the Lausitzring FK Performance showed what their cars and drivers are capable of. @bengreen2 (#10), who started the race in the BMW M4 GT4 from position 4, moved into second position after lap 1. However, the third-placed driver behind him put on the pressure and overtook him at the end of the start and finish straight on lap 4. But luck seemed to be on Ben Green’s side. Because shortly after the overtaking maneuver, the two competitors in front of him collided with each other and retired – fortunately, both drivers were not injured. Ben Green was in the lead again and also showed a great performance at the re-start after a safety car phase, subsequently delivering a terrific battle for first place with the leader of the drivers‘ standings. Two laps before the end, Ben Green had to admit defeat and finished the race in second position. He also remains in second place in the drivers‘ standings.
The two team mates @moritzloehner (# 11) and @yannzimmer (# 50) also collected important points and showed a strong performance over the whole race. In addition to tough duels, they also benefited from the mistakes made by the other drivers. Moritz Löhner drove from 11th to 7th place. In his very first season after four races, he is 7th in the drivers‘ standings. Yann Zimmer made up three places during the second race at the Lausitzring and finished in 5th position. He is 4th in the drivers‘ standings.
